Name Cards

Items you will need:

1 piece of typing paper
3 crayons
scissors
4 dry leaves

Directions:

Fold the paper in half. Cut along the fold. Now fold these two pieces in half. Cut along the fold. You should now have 4 pieces of paper. Fold each of these pieces in half. Put a leaf inside each piece of folded paper. Rub a crayon gently across the front of each piece of folded paper. The outline and veins of the leaves will show. Pick another crayon and color the background. The best Fall colors are yellows, reds, and browns. Take another crayon and print the names of the people coming to Thanksgiving dinner. On Thanksgiving Day place each name card on the plate where that person will sit for dinner. Repeat these directions if more name cards are needed.
You have made something very special for your family and friends!!

Indian Belt

Items you will need:

1 large piece of thick paper
ruler
sharp pencil
scissors
tape
box of crayons
2 pieces of colored yarn as long as your arm

Directions:
Take the paper and lay it down lengthwise. With the ruler measure two 3 inch-wide strips running lengthwise and mark them. Cut out each strip. Tape the strips together short end to short end. Wrap the long strip around your waist. Mark the spot where the ends touch with your pencil. Now add on about two extra inches. Cut off the rest of the paper beyond this mark. Take your pencil and poke two holes in the end of each strip (poke one hole above the other going up the short open end of the paper). Color a nice Indian design around the belt. Take one piece of yarn and push it through the holes on one end of the belt. Do the same with the other piece of yarn on the other end of the belt. Now tie the belt around your waist.
You look just like an Indian!!
