"Dirt"


Ingredients:

20 0z. Oreo Cookies (crushed/with the cream centers)
gummy worms
1 stick softened butter
8 oz. softened cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
3 1/2 cups milk
2 small packages "instant" vanilla pudding
12 oz. cool whip

Other items needed:
8 inch plastic flowerpot
silk flowers
plastic shovel

Directions:

In bowl #1 mix together the butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until all lumps are gone. In bowl #2 mix together the milk, vanilla pudding, and cool whip until all lumps are gone. Combine ingredients in both bowls and mix together throughly. Using the flower pot layer as follows:
1/3 crushed oreos
1/2 cream mixture
1/3 crushed oreos
1/2 cream mixture
1/3 crushed oreos

Place silk flowers in the flower pot. Add several gummy worms around the base of the flowers. Refrigerate until time to serve. Use the shovel for serving. Select flowers for the season or the current holiday, or decorate the flower pot with colored foil and ribbon.
This is a wonderful dessert and sure to be a hit at any party!!

Cheesy Chicken & Broccoli Macaroni


Ingredients:

4 boneless chicken breast halves, cut into chunks
1 can chicken broth
1 pkg. elbow macaroni
3/4 lb. Velvetta cheese, cut-up
1 pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed

Directions:

Cook and stir chicken in large skillet sprayed with non-stick cooking spray 2 minutes or until no longer pink. Stir in broth. Bring to boil.
Stir in macaroni. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover.
Simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until macaroni is tender.
Add chesse and broccoli; stir until cheese is melted.
Serves: 6

Cheeseburger Macaroni


Ingredients:

1/2 lb. ground beef
2 cups water
1/3 cup catsup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 pkg. (14 oz.) Kraft Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
1 teaspoon onion powder

Directions:

Brown meat on large skillet; drain. Add water, catsup and mustard to skillet. Bring to boil. Stir in macaroni; return to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover. Simmer 10 minutes or until macaroni is tender.
Stir in cheese sauce and onion powder.
Serves:4

BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad


Ingredients:

1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into strips
1 pkg. mixed salad greens
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 cup pitted ripe olives
1/2 cup sliced red onion
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
coarsely crushed tortilla chips

Directions:

Heat barbecue sauce in skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook and stir until chicken is cooked through. Add additional barbecue sauce, if desired. Toss greens, mushrooms, olives and onion in large bowl. Top with chicken. Pour dressing over greens mixture.
Sprinkle with cheese and crushed chips.
Serves: 6

Chicken & Rice Dinner with Cheese


Ingredients:

1 tablespoon oil
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 soup can water or milk
2 cups Minute Rice, uncooked
2 cups fresh or frozen broccoli, thawed
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions:

Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken; season with salt and pepper. Cook 5 minutes on each side or until lightly browned. Remove from skillet. Add soup and water to skillet. Bring to boil. Stir in rice and broccoli. Top with chicken and cheese; cover. Cook on low heat 5 minutes. Stir. Garnish with bell pepper strips, if desired.
Serves: 4

Cheesy Beef Enchiladas


Ingredients:

1 lb. ground beef
1 jar (16 oz.) salsa, divided
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
12 flour tortillas (6-8 inch)

Directions:

Brown meat; drain. Stir in 1/2 cup of salsa and 1 cup of cheese. Spread 1 cup of salsa in 13x9-inch baking dish. Place 1/4 cup meat mixture in center of each tortilla; roll up. Place tortillas, seam-side down, on salsa. Top with remaining 1/2 cup salsa and 1 cup cheese.
Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until hot.
Serves: 6




BBQ Chicken Wrap Sandwiches


Ingredients:

1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 medium onion, sliced
2 medium green peppers, quartered
8 flour tortillas (6 inch)
1 cup barbecue sauce

Directions:

Place chicken and vegetables on greased grill over medium-hot coals. Grill chicken 5 to 6 minutes on each side or until cooked through and vegetables 4 to 5 minutes on each side, brushing each frequently with sauce. Slice chicken and vegetables into thin strips. Divide filling among tortillas and roll tortillas. Serve with additional sauce, if desired.

Easy BBQ Sloppy Joes

Ingredients:

1 lb. lean ground beef or turkey
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup barbecue sauce
4 hamburger buns, split

Directions:

Brown meat; drain. Add green pepper and onion; cook until tender.
Add barbecue sauce; heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally.
Fill buns with meat mixture.
Kids love these!!
Serves: 4

Beef Teriyaki


Ingredients:

2 cups Minute Rice, uncooked
1 lb. beef sirloin steak, cut into strips
3 cups frozen stir-fry vegetables, thawed
3/4 cup teriyaki baste & glaze sauce
1 tablespoon oil

Directions:

Prepare rice as directed on package. Cook and stir meat in 1 tablespoon hot oil 5 minutes. Add vegetables and sauce; cover. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes or until vegetables are tender-crisp, stirring frequently.
Serve over rice.
Serves: 4 to 6

Easy Chicken Cacciatore


Ingredients:

2 teaspoons oil
1 broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
1 envelope Italian salad dressing mix
1 jar chunky style spaghetti sauce
hot cooked rice

Directions:

Heat oil in large skillet. Add chicken; cook until chicken is browned on all sides. Sprinkle salad dressing mix over chicken. Add spaghetti sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover. Simmer 25 to 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through, stirring occasionally.
Serve over hot cooked rice.
Serves: 4
